Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu.Earth Style: Headhunter Jutsu
Type: D-rank, Supplementary, Short range (0-5m) :The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down (or possibly swaps places with) the opponent so that only their head is above ground.

Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu .Water Clone Jutsu"
Type: C-rank, Supplementary :Creates one or more identical copies of the user out of water. More similar to Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger) than to a normal Bunshin no Jutsu (Doppelganger Technique), these clones are capable of attacking, except for the fact that each clone's power is only one-tenth of the user. Also, the clones can only be controlled within a certain radius of the user. That is the technique's weakness.
This is considered to be the Water Style equivalent to the Leaf Village's "Kage Bushin No Jutsu" (Shadow Doppelganger Technique) mainly because it divides up the user's attention and chakra to an extent. Sasuke was able to defeat this jutsu when he and Naruto teamed up, using the technique many fans have dubbed: "Demon Wind Shuriken, Shadow Clone in the Shadow Shuriken Jutsu"

Suiton: Suiryudan no Jutsu.Water Release: Water Dragon Missile"
Type: B-rank, Offensive, All ranges :A powerful attack that creates a huge current of water, usually in the form of a dragon, sent towards the target. Hatake Kakashi copies this technique from Momochi Zabuza with his Sharingan and quickly uses it to defend himself from Zabuza's original. The Second Hokage utilizes this Jutsu against the Third Hokage only in the manga and not in the anime, so this is further seen as canon.

Kuchiyose: Doton: Tsuiga no Jutsu.Earth Release: Tracking Fang
Type: B-rank, Offensive, All ranges :The user summons several Ninja Dogs (忍犬, Ninken), including Pakkun, that burst from the ground and take hold of the target's body. The target becomes unable to move, and is then open for a larger scale attack. These dogs can be summoned all at once, one at a time, or can be mainly used for tracking purposes.

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.Shadow clone Technique
Type: B-rank, Supplementary :Unlike the normal Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Doppelganger), this jutsu does not create illusions, but real bodies of the ninja. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among the user and every clone. This could be very dangerous if the user is low on chakra or makes many clones (like with Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Multiple Shadow Clone Technique), making this technique forbidden. However, this is something that Naruto doesn't have to worry about, since his chakra supply is very high thanks to the Kyūbi. Kage Bunshin can't be detected by Byakugan (Hyūga Neji states this during his fight with Naruto during the third part of the Chūnin exam). This is because the clones are real bodies with real chakra systems, identical to the user. It also cannot be detected by the Sharingan. Because the clones are real they can do real damage and can take some damage themselves, being even able to bleed, although they'll still disappear when enough damage has been done, which is usually after one hit. This is one of Naruto's best jutsus. Since the clones are real, he can use it in combination with many other jutsus, including the Sexy no Jutsu.


Taju Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.Multiple Shadow Clone Technique
Type: A-rank, Supplementary :As Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, but creates far, far more clones. Like Kage Bunshin, the clones look the same as the user and will disappear if hit. This is considered a forbidden technique, because it can be fatal to the person performing it, seeing as all of the clones are given an equal amount of chakra from the performer. Naruto learned the technique from the scroll of forbidden seals written by the First Hokage.

Suiton: Suijinheki.Water Release: Water Encampment Wall
Type: Ninjutsu, B-rank, Defensive, Short range (0-5m) :This jutsu creates a water barrier to protect the user from any surprise attacks.

Doton: Doryuheki (Earth Release: Earth Style Wall)
Type: B-rank, Defensive, Short range (0-5m) :The user creates a wall in front of them by spewing out a stream of mud from the mouth that quickly solidifies into a strong, protective wall.

Katon: Karyu Endan (Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet)
Type: B-rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m) :Shoots an enormous ball of flame in the shape of a dragon from the user's mouth.

Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Fire Release: Grand Fireball Technique)
Type: C-rank, Offensive, Close range (0-5m) :Utilizing a high amount of chakra, a large ball of flame is exhaled from the user's mouth. When an Uchiha clan member perfectly masters this technique, the person is fully recognized as an adult.
This Katon jutsu is said to be the most powerful among all others of the same element, since this is seen as a rite of passage into adulthood for all Uchiha clan members.
This is considered by many fans to be Sasuke's signature technique. Hatake Kakashi remembered of the advancement of the Uchiha clan when he had seen that Sasuke had used it so perfectly as a newly graduated Genin, and at such a young age for that matter.

Hakkesho Kaiten (Eight Trigram Palms Heavenly Spin)
Type: Kekkei genkai, No rank, Offensive, Defensive, Short range (0-5m) :A very advanced Taijutsu passed down in the Hyūga main house, it uses a solid amount of chakra expelled from the whole body - as opposed to imprecise bursts from only specific parts of the body, which is the most even your typical Jōnin can manage - to stop any attack in its tracks, then push it back with equal force, making it a very efficient defense and also making it possible to use it as an offense. Despite it being a secret jutsu passed only in the Hyūga main house, Hyūga Neji of the Branch house mastered it without any training or information of the technique from the Main house, but rather discovered the technique himself and trained with his teammate Tenten, a weapons specialist, to perfect it, which is a sure testimony to his genius.

Hakke Rokujuyon Sho (Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms)
Type: Kekkei genkai, No rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m) :A very advanced Gentle Fist Style technique, the user must be able to see the Chakra holes (tenketsu, 点穴, "pressure points")) of the opponent and execute it with incredible dexterity and precision in order for it to be effective. In a series of two heavy strikes, followed by two more, followed by four, followed by eight, followed by sixteen, followed by a dazzling thirty-two consecutive pinpoint-precision strikes, this jutsu closes 64 of the 361 tenketsu of the opponent completely. The last of the sixty-four strikes appears to be a blow with the full, open hand, rather than the fingertips of the index and middle fingers. The end result is a victim with disrupted chakra flow, making it very problematic to stay standing up and impossible to execute jutsu, unless an alternate chakra source is available, which is exceedingly rare and has only been demonstrated thus far in people containing a Bijū (Tail Beast). This jutsu is passed down in the Hyūga main house, but it is theoretically possible to figure it out on one's own if one is talented and insightful enough to do so (Hyūga Neji being the only known example). In the anime, Neji has developed an enhancement, Hakke Hyaku Nijūha Shō ("Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms"), which essentially means a doubled attack speed and doubled capability, though this is not considered canon.

Hakke Kusho (Eight Trigrams Empty Palm)
Type: Unknown, probably: Kekkei genkai, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m) :A palm thrust, capable of being done while out of arms' reach, that pushes away the victim violently with chakra. This is apparently used in a similar style as Hakkeshō Kaiten.

Water Prison Skill.
Type. B-rank:Creates a large sphere of water, that holds the opponent inside it. The prison is difficult to escape, yet, the drawback is that the user must keep contact with the sphere to keep the prison working.

Earth Element, Earth Dragon Missile
Type. A-rank:A technique that follows up the Earth River Slide technique, a shape of a dragon is pulled out of the mud in which the dragon opens it's mouth and then spits missiles made out of mud to hit the opponent. This technique is usually followed up by Karyuudan.

Type: S-rank : the user creates a dragon that has every element dragon (fire dragon,water dragon,etc) inside of him and when it makes contact with an enemy every element dragon goes to attack the user and it can tell if its a clone or not

History:Neji used to be particularly bitter about his own destiny, forced on him by the fact that his father, Hyuuga Hizashi, was born into the world after his uncle, Hyuuga Hiashi, even though they were twins. This made Hiashi a member of the main family and Hizashi, as well as Neji, a member of the branch family. In his childhood, Neji had nothing against the main family as he was probably being too young to fully understand the implications of being a branch family member, but as he grew up seeing his father feeling nothing but hatred for his own brother and the main family, he gradually came to resent it himself. His resentment only deepened as he witnessed his father enraged first hand while watching Hyuuga Hinata, Hiashi's elder daughter and then the destined Hyuuga main family heir, train with her father; for he knew that his own son, Neji, will never be the heir of his clan. Detecting Hizashi's vibes of animosity, Hiashi activated the Juin (Cursed seal), putting his brother in immense pain as his nerves were being attacked. It was Neji's first encounter with the Hyuuga Curse Seal.

It was not until the incident with Kumogakure (Hidden Cloud)'s and Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf)'s peace treaty, however, that Neji truly became who he were when he showed up for the Chuunin exams. The two villages, which were at war with one another, apparently decided to sign a treaty, and for this representatives from Kumogakure arrived. On the same day, the very same curse seal that tortured his father was put upon Neji himself; and that night, the ambassador from the Lightning country attempted to kidnap Hinata, revealing that the intention of the "treaty" was all along to get into the Fire country and acquire the secret of Byakugan. Hiashi detected the intruder and killed him at once, for which Kumogakure, absurdly, requested payback in the form of Hiashi's dead body. That day, Neji's father was sent to his death instead of Hiashi, and Neji grew up believing that his father was sent against his will to protect the Hyuuga clan's secret bloodline.

This chain of events drove him to the point of believing that destiny, what we are born as and our features are decided from birth and there's no way to escape or change them; he was also arrogant, cynical and holier-than-thou. Thanks to Naruto he has completely abandoned this attitude, however, and now no longer judges and labels people, believing in their power to change their fates as well as his own.


His Team
Neji was in the same Genin team as Rock Lee, Tenten and their Jounin sensei Maito Gai. Although Neji is now a Jounin, he still does missions with his old team.

Neji and Lee have a rivalry going on, which, not unlike the rivalry between Gai and Hatake Kakashi, mostly comes from Lee's side. Lee, who has been fighting against his fate as a worthless shinobi all his life, tries desperately to prove himself to the world in general and Neji in particular. Neji has mocked Lee's dream of becoming a fine shinobi, saying one cannot go against fate. After Neji's defeat by Naruto, he seems to have warmed up to Lee.

Tenten is often seen sparring with Neji, which usually consists of Tenten honing her skill with throwing weapons and Neji deflecting the weapons with his Hakkeshō Kaiten. The two of them are often equally annoyed with Lee and Gai's overreacting and childish behaviour.

Although he is often annoyed with his team members and can act rude to them, he is willing to fight for them when necessary.


Chuunin Exam Arc
Though he appears calm and stoic on the outside, Neji is full of pent-up hatred for the main house, which culminates when he is randomly chosen to be Hinata's opponent in the chuunin exam third stage preliminaries. He tells her that she is a harmony-seeking person not fit to be a shinobi, and that he can see that she wants nothing more than to be somewhere else; when she stutters that this is not true, and that she entered the exam because she wanted to change herself, Neji concludes that she is truly a spoiled child of the main family, believing in such absurdities, and gives her a stern speech of absolute determinism about how people cannot change.

In doing so, however, he terribly enrages Uzumaki Naruto who had sympathy for Hinata as it was, and is probably the last person who will stand aside while somebody else carries speeches on how dropouts remain dropouts. Naruto calls for her to stand up for herself and this actually gives her the willpower to stand up to him, something Neji definitely did not fathom was a possibility. Even though he is far stronger than Hinata and manages to knock her out again and again, she refuses to give up and carries on fighting, and Neji, though still in a superior position, starts sweating as people who refuse to accept their "fate" do not fit into his world-view. When Hinata actually dares to tell him that he is actually the one suffering at the hands of fate, and trying with all his might to fight against it, he nearly kills her in a fit of rage, but is stopped at the last moment by the Jounin supervising the battle.

Neji further calls both Hinata and Naruto dropouts subsequently after the fight, and this is the bursting point for Naruto who runs toward Neji to attack him, only to be prevented by Rock Lee who reasons that even a dropout can defeat a genius with enough training, but it has to happen in a proper fight. Naruto grudgingly accepts this, but is still so outraged that he swears on Hinata's spilled blood that he will defeat Neji in battle. A month afterwards when Naruto and Neji actually engage in battle in the third stage main event, Naruto continuously confronts Neji about his attitude and the way he treated Hinata, until Neji decides that if he cares so much, he will tell him about the sad story of his twin father and uncle. While Naruto is shocked at the tragedy, he refuses to acknowledge it as an excuse for how Neji is acting, and berates him for his hypocrisy, going on about fate but defying his in a twisted way, almost killing Hinata where as a Hyuuga branch family member it is his duty to protect her. Though Neji manages to block Naruto's tenketsu completely, Naruto harnesses the power of Kyuubi by concentrating about how he is now fighting for Hinata as he promised and for Rock Lee, who always wanted to fight Neji to prove that a hard worker can surpass a genius, but is now incapable of doing so himself because of the injuries he sustained in his battle with Gaara. With the power of the Kyuubi, Naruto is able to overwhelm Neji and wins the battle.

Realizations and elations rain on Neji that day as Naruto's speeches on the fact that people can change, himself being an obvious in-your-face example for this, combined with his uncle's explanation that Neji's father chose to sacrifice himself for the clan rather than doing it involuntarily, completely redesign his view on the world, amounting in the conclusion that even a bird in a cage, if smart enough, and with enough willpower, can open the lock with its beak and soar in the skies again.

Sasuke Retrieval Arc
Some time later in the series, the reformed Neji joins Nara Shikamaru's squad (consisting of Uzumaki Naruto, Inuzuka Kiba, Akimichi Chouji and later also Rock Lee and Gaara, Kankuro and Temari who arrive just in the nick of time to bail out a member of Shikamaru's squad who is in dire straits) on the failed mission to prevent Uchiha Sasuke from crossing over Hi no Kuni (Land of Fire)'s borders and into the Oto no Kuni (Land of Sound) and Orochimaru's control. He confronts Kidōmaru of the Sound Four, risking his life for the sake of his comrades, sustains critical injuries and at one point coming inches from death, surviving only thanks to treatment by a med-nin team that is prompty dispatched. In fact, during the fight against Kidōmaru he feels for once how it is to be on the hopelessly disadvantaged side while your opponent taunts and mocks your hopeless predicament, as he has done to Lee, Hinata and Naruto. Much like they did when up against his former, bitter self, Neji refuses to give up and fights with feverish determination; and this is what enables him to emerge victorious in the end.The Hyuuga clan’s history has not been discussed much. The Hyuuga clan have a kekei Genkai abilitiy called the byakugan. The byakugan gives the Hyuuga clan a great advantage. It allows them to have nearly 360 degrees of vision, the ability to see the iternal chakra coil system 361 pressure points. You can see why the Hyuuga clan is highly respected. This power caused a rift in the family. The Hyuuga clan split into two parts. The main family and the branch family. The main family controlled the branch family. I will now explain how the main family controlled the branch family and what classifies as a branch member.The Hyuuga clan is known for putting a cursed seal on the branch members of the clan. From all the reading I have done it, the seal is known as the juin seal. Another name that I have heard is the caged bird seal. When children of the branch family are three or four years old, the cursed seal is put on them. The cursed seal is applied for many reasons. One reason is that the Hyuuga clan is very protective about the secrets of the byakugan. When a branch member dies, the cursed seal disappears and takes the secret of the byakugan with it. Basically the cursed seal destroys the byakugan. That way no one can discover how the byakugan works. A more important reason why the cursed seal is applied is that the seal can be used as a weapon by the main family. When the cursed seal is activated, it causes severe pain. Brain cells can be damaged and in some cases even death. All that is needed to activate to seal is the flick of the hand or the wrist. Some main branch members even activated the seal as punishment. They could even threaten to activate the seal on branch members. Because of the threat, many branch members did what they were told. The branch family was being used as pawns by the main family.A member of the branch family can be born in the main family, but due to their fate they are considered a branch member. Take for example Hizashi Hyuuga. Hizashi is Neji’s father and brother to Hiashi Hyuuga. Hiashi is Hinita and Hanabi’s father. Both brothers are twins but because Hizashi was born a few seconds after Hiashi, he is considered a branch member of the family. His fate was sealed when he was born and had the cursed seal applied to him. As you can see, only the oldest child in the main family is destined to be the heir of the clan. All the secrets are passed on like how to apply the cursed seal and how to use it to keep branch members in line. Branch members are also not taught the full secrets of the byakugan and the advanced gentle fists fighting technique.Hizashi resented being a branch member. He wished that Neji, his son would not have the cursed applied to him. Hizashi even wished that Neji could learn the advanced techniques of the gentle fist. To prove a point and to keep Hizashi in check, Hiashi activated Hizashi’s seal in front of Neji. This shows the main branch is very cruel. Hizashi did not die from the seal being activated but was in immense pain.Some time later, an attempt was done to kidnap Hinita. The village of Koumogakure wanted to know the secrets of the byakugan. Hiashi was able to stop and kill the kidnapper from Kumogakure. The village of Kumogakure want retribution for the death of their fallen comrade. To keep the peace the third hokage agreed to send the murderer to Kumogakure for punishment. Hiashi was willing to go but Hizashi insisted that he took Hiashi’s place instead. Both brothers were identical so Kumogakure would not know the difference until it was to late. Hizashi agreed to take Hiashi’s place to protect his brother. He was not forced to go by the main family. The secrets of the byakugan would not be revealed to outsiders. I believe this was a turning point in how the Hyuuga main family operated.Neji grew up believing that his father was forced to sacrifice himself to protect the main family. After Neji lost to Naruto at the chunin exams, Hiashi gave a letter to Neiji written by Neji’s father eplaining his death. Hiashi fealt ashamed for the past sins that he had done and asked for forgiveness. Hiashi also started to train and show the advanced getle fist technique to Neji. Hiashi I believed also stopped putting the cursed seal on members of his clan. In the past, branch members could be younger siblings to the heir. If this is true then Hanabi, Hinita’s younger sister, should of had the seal applied to her by her father. Hanabi from my understanding did not have the cursed seal applied to her by her father. All of this is leads me to believe that because of Hizashi’s actions Hiashi changed the ways of the Hyuuga clan. It looks like the Hyuuga clan changed for the good.As you can see the Hyuuga clan has a dark past. Through time and self sacrifice, the Hyuuga clan changed their ways for the better.
